POS & Hardware Channels Manager

About the role

Kolomoni Microfinance Institution (Gambia), a CBG-licensed microfinance institution, is recruiting a POS and Hardware Channels Manager for its Merchant Business and Digital Payments function. The role owns the complete POS and acceptance-hardware lifecycle, ensuring devices are securely controlled, selectively deployed, active, productive and supported. The measure is not terminals shipped but terminals transacting. The position reports to the Head, MBDP.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the POS and hardware channel strategy, operating standards and annual deployment plan.
• Coordinate procurement, receipt, custody, configuration, deployment, activation, maintenance, retrieval, redeployment and controlled disposal.
• Apply evidence-based placement criteria based on merchant demand, expected throughput and unit economics.
• Set inventory, maker-checker, chain-of-custody, repair and asset-reconciliation controls.
• Lead terminal performance monitoring, inactive-terminal management and redeployment.
• Lead the repair function and enforce diagnosis, repair, swap, backlog and technician productivity standards.
• Own warranty and RMA workflows, and investigate losses, tampering and unexplained movement.

Required profile

• Seven or more years in payments, terminal estate management, acquiring, device operations or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

Required skills

• Practical command of inventory control, chain of custody and asset reconciliation.
• Experience of terminal management systems, remote configuration and over-the-air updates.
