Chief Finance Officer

About the role

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will oversee and manage the financial actions of Access Bank PLC, driving strategic initiatives, optimizing performance and aligning resources with the bank's objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategies supporting the bank’s growth plans.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage the company’s budget, revenue, EBITDA and CAPEX, leading annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Report variances and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Analyze, recommend and approve investments and profitability for complex projects.
• Develop financial plans, structure products and support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with regulators, auditors and financial institutions.
• Drive financial risk management to mitigate operational and credit risks.
• Participate in the development of the bank’s strategic plans.
• Lead, motivate and develop finance team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• ACCA certification.
• Minimum 10 years progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements and risk management.
• Proven track record in strategic financial planning, budgeting and performance improvement.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making abilities.
• Exceptional leadership and team‑management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
• Banking or financial services experience highly desirable.
